I agree, Buck.. Right now it is way too dangerous to speculate. Let us hope that research into whoever is responsible is done fairly and legally, without too much emotion. That way the US will have the backing of all countries...

Let us just hope that the worst is over. By remaining calm and unbiased on this site, we can hopefully learn as much as possible.

Indeed. Level heads must prevail. This forum should be a place for unity and compassion rather than divisiveness on this day of all days.

I agree. Righteous anger is needed against those who did this, but it is also important that the anger is not misplaced and that can only be done by remaining coolheaded.
I am also glad that President Bush appears to be doing exactly what I just said needs to be done.
President Bush~
I have spoken to the vice president, to the governor of New York, to the director of the FBI, and have ordered that the full resources of the federal government go to help the victims and the families and to conduct a full scale investigation to hunt down and to find those folks who committed this act.

A sad day endeed. My deepest sympaties for all who have suffered from these acts of terrorism. It is truely a thing that I could not wish anyone to ever see again in their life time. Such a balant disregard for human life makes me feel so sad, that I can not put words to it. This will become one of the darkest spots on human history. I hope that future generation will learn from this and stop it from ever happening again.
My hearts goes out to all of you!
Best Regards
Kim Christiansen
Denmark.
And it all happened on my birthday

Yeah, I'd seen the scene hundred times. I couldn't believe it at first, I thought it was a scene from a movie. Today at school (Indiana), we skipped almost half of our day.. we were astounded as we watched consecutive explosions at the library. Well, I hope they catch the arrogant bastards who did it and torture them long enough. Meanwhile let's pray for the people whose lives have been changed forever.

I think it is safe to say that all of our lives have been changed by this.
I remember sitting at my mom's computer desk in my parent's home office watching the events on the TV. It didn't quite seem real until I watched Tower 1 collapsing live.

I do hope that the US government finds the culprits soon. They deserve to burn in the deepest reaches of hell for doing this..

@All: I would just like to re-iterate what Buck said earlier, about all of us remaining level headed. Yes, we all do want retribution for this, but let us try to remain calm, unbiased, and logical during this time. We are all saddend, and remorseful about todays events, but they are done, and nothing can take that back. LEt us offer some silient prayers for those who are religious, and our thoughts for those who aren't.

I am too greatly sorry for this outrage.
My english class has actually been studying a lot about war (Night, All Quiet on the Western Front). I have friends who had friends that were there, and I feel for them. A liitle poem:
wHY IS WAR WHAT WE STRIVE FOR?
aREN'T WE ALL EQUAL?
rANDOMLY WE DESTROY THIS WORLD BY WAR
i SEE THE OBLIVION
sADNESS, MELANCHOLY, DEATH
dON'T WE WANT PEACE?
eVER I SEARCH FOR IT,
aND NEVER DO i FIND IT
tHAT IS HUMAN-
hELL IS OURS
sad, but true- inspired by "Apostrophe to Man"
I love you all!

You guys are right, we will always remember our gut wrenches that were even more severe than love at first sight...
The emotions that only occur when your country falls apart around you.

The government released that they are 90% sure that Hasim Bin Laden (sp?) is behind the attacks. The same guy that bombed the world trade center not too long ago. This is a time for revenge, we must stop these terrorists before they attack again. And to all you who were celebrating this in the streets (example: palastinians), your day will come... May you all die slowly.
