Quickest way to kill them?

Attack them? :p

Not sure really, have you tried fire spells etc.? I can't remember if undead in Baldur's Gate are vulnerable to fire - its been a while since I played.

Hehe, attacking them is definitely a good start. Also, that is, If I remember correctly, they hit hard and have the privilege of many HPs, so be sure to equip your engaging PC/NPC with a Golden Girdle to provide some protection, however meager, against the SW's greatsword, and do hit them with a blunt weapon if possible.

If that fails, I second Mr Sir's 'Fireball-away strategy.' :)

Aren't they highly resistant to magic?

Just agreeing with what's already mentioned.

Fireballs and blunt weapons are the way to go.

If you still have trouble, you should try the spell Haste. Hitting the enmy before it can retaliate is great. Use it carefully, though, as it causes fatigue once it expires. There also some potions that duplicates only the possitive effect of the spell.

My method isn't exactly fast but is safe. Using a character wearing boots of speed, play "ring around the roses" using a table or suchlike. Then take them out with a bow, keeping well clear of them. This isn't exactly an answer to the question, but it works. I often take the skellies out one at a time using fog of war to the max. (To ensure that you're not trapped by the weaker ones whilst you get hammered by a warrior)

A bit difficult while in the maze :/ Very narrow.

True, that's why I lure them out one at a time to the room where you get the plate +3.
