Asia condemns those who commit mass murder and celebrate because of it

Post by Oji »

This tragedy crosses beyond racial or geographical boundaries, these terorrists' capacity for evil are unimaginable, already the repercussions of this tragedy is being felt here in Asia both in economic and in the numbing realization of just how far these animals would go. I believe we, the non-Americans must express fully our indignation against this great eveil and common enemy.
You don't have to be an American to feel the shock and anger of seeing all those human beings trapped in the upper floors or the fact that many of your heroic firemen and police officers lives are taken away while doing their duties. I offer my deepest condolences for the innocents and for the many heroes that were made last night. I believe i speak in behalf of the Filipino people, that there is no amount of punishment, even death, that is worthy to those people behind this. I just hope the US wont make any bad decisions in the coming days...fueled by vengeance...pursuing an enemy that strikes cowardly from the shadows and celebrates in the streets for mass murder.

*Bin Laden has been financing terrorrist groups here in the Philippines to raid villages, rape and kill innocents, particularly the poor and behead missionaries because of their twisted beliefs. There is very little doubt in my mind who this new world evil is.

Let us pay respects also, to the courage of the firemen, police officers, rescue workers, paramedics and other emergency personnel who risked and lost their lives in the service of their fellow people.

There is no doubt how far-reaching this act of terrorism is, especially here in the Philippines, who has long been an American political ally.

I met an American client yesterday who had a sister in the 67th floor of the first tower that collapsed. I could see her feeling of hopelessness as she could not even make contact to determine her fate.

May this act bring down the wrath of heavens on those responsible, and those who cheer for the loss of any human life.

My friend's dad was killed. They haven't found his body. Everybody's been crying the whole day. I would have been with him and his family but they want to be alone. Their in NYC right now searching.
BTW i live 20 miles out of NYC.
I could see the smoke from my school.
My dad who goes to work in downtown NYC was on a ferry when the first plane crashed.
Everybody tought this was some accident and they went to work. Then the second one crashed, and suddenly eevrybody was running like hell. He got out before things got worse.
But I saw on T.V at school what was going on in NYC. A reporter was standing being filmed when the building collapsed right behind him. Him and the camera man started to run like hell. Policemen everybody was running. People jumped out of teh buildings.
For a few seconds i thought my dad was dead.
His building collapsed later that day.

Well said kabayan, this has nothing to do with just Americans, this barbaric act is against everything we stand for when it comes to respect for human life. I believe that every religion adheres to this particular tenet... well, not unless you consider devil-worshipping a legitimate religion...(but then that's a different topic altogether).

I know, I know, the Palestinians have suffered too, the Albanians and Croats have suffered too, but would such terroristic act solve the problem?

It takes more than just plane crashes to destroy America. If anything, such cowardice has just added fuel to the fire, and may God have mercy on them for what they have done.

I agree, religion per se has nothing to do with it. If indeed it is OB Laden who is responsible, then it is him and him alone along with his cohorts. The entire believers of the Muslim faith must not take the brunt of a blanket accusation/ responsibility of their actions.

The U.S. is right in declaring war against terrorism --- it is about time. This is not against any particular country, rather this war is against all those who would use terrorism as a means for their nefarious ends.

I hope other countries will follow suit --- at least helping when it comes to intelligence and extraditing these SoBs to face the consequences of their actions.

Let terrorism end.
