Can someone explain me the difference between defense and bashing?
In the videogame it seems to be the same thing;i read a message (those messages we can read while loading areas) that said that dodge, wits and stamina, all affects the damage you will take during fights....so it shuold be the same thing spending points in defense or bashing.

Defense: Reduces the chance that enemies will hit you (all types).
(soak) Bashing: Reduces the damage that a successful hit does to you.
So defense will improve your chances to completely avoid being hit while bashing will reduce the damage of the hits you take.
This is how I understand it, perhaps I'm wrong...

this should be on paper.....but in the videogame i think it's differente because even if i have and high defense, when an enemy is close to me,he ALWAYS hits me.

I think enemies have stats, just like your own character does. So when you have 10 defense he might have 10, near 10 or even more than 10 (abilities) in his weapon specialization, like melee weapons or unarmed.
That would really lower the chances you have to completely fend off an attack, which is why Soaking is in the game.
This is what I think, I haven't read up on it so I'm just writing how I think it works.

Yes yes.....
Do you know how the combat works in the game?
i mean....in Baldur's gate we have a Thac0 and the Armor class
To hit someone you must get a number higher than your Thac0 - the enemy's AC.If you can hit him then you can see how damage you do.
How does it work for Bloodlines?

Basically defense is for everything, it's a catch all type thing. Bashing, under defense, is for being hit with fists and blunt weapons. Did anyone pay attention to what's going on in the game, read the game manual, or anything like that?

i read the manual but it doesn't explain everything.
Sometimes i read the notes that appears when it's loading new areas but most of the times i can't read everything. Can i find them in the installation path?
