Shadow Ruins

I placed the shadow stone on the alter and then saved before entering the Shadow Ruins, now when I reload my game I am unable to get back into the Ruins, Is there a way to get in as I was in once and died while I was in but did not save inside the ruins.

Unless there's a way to use the editor to put you inside (and nobody has ever reported here that they've actually done this), then you'll have to go back to an earlier save.
