Anyone see the recent Supernatural with a VTM reference?

I squealed with joy when I was watching Supernatural last night and saw the name of the hotel where the brothers stayed:
YouTube - Watch Supernatural Season 4 Episode 18 HD Part 3 of 4 (3:15 and 4:35 and to get why the ref is so appropriate, I recommend watching the whole clip lol)
I'm pretty sure this is the first VTM reference the show has made - I'm surprised they haven't made more in any of the other vampire-themed episodes!

I just watched the episode, seen the "Toreador Motel", and I'm not convinced that it is a reference to Vampire The Masquerade.

I agree to that, Toreador is just another word for torero or bullfighter. So Toreador Motel is no reference to VtM:Bloodlines

Did you watch the whole clip? Or Supernatural? Given the sort of the place the motel is, plus the fact that Supernatural frequently references things along this line within the show, I DO believe it is a reference to VTM...

There's an actual Bullfighter picture in the left side of word "Motel". I still don't believe that it is a reference.

So...? This show is known for obscure references to horror entertainment. If they'd put a vampire or something else up there people would've been all WTF. But, as I said, given the purpose of the motel and the history of the show and its past references, I think it is a reference to VTM. That's what Supernatural does.

I'm a big fan of Supernatural, and I've watched every episode aired including this one. I have to say, I see no link to VtM - the episode had nothing to do with vampires for a start. In fact nothing in the storyline had anything to do with VtM - the episode was about a prophet of God predicting the future events on the show, and a brief face-off with Lillith, who is a demon not a vampire so even that is not a reference to VtM

I agree with you.

Also, *slight spoilers for Supernatural* one point of naming the hotel (or motel?) Toreador was that some of the neon letters would burn out, thus reading as "red hotel" and thus fulfilling a prophecy of some sorts that the brothers were trying to avoid, and so on and so forth. I agree that it isn't a reference to VTM, toreador is not even a proper noun.
