Ok I have played through both Kotor and Kotor 2. I have a new HP computer running with the hated vista 64. I have finally got them both to run perfectly. However the console cheats i can not get to work. I go into both of the swkotor.ini and when i try to copy in the enablecheats=1 or change them in any way it will not allow me to save the file. It will say cannot create the C:/Program Files (x86)/lucasarts/starwars knights of the old republic/ swkotor.ini file. I have tried several ways to get around it and make it work but nothing i do works. I never had this problem running on the windows XP and i have been looking at all forums and cant find anyone who has this problem. If anyone knows how i can solve this please help i have done all i can think of.

Ok, you have to right click the swkotor2.ini file and click properties, then click security, then edit, then select your user from the list (was the bottom name for me; not system or administrator), then check off "full access", then apply, then ok, etc. I'm using vista, too, and I've run into further issues.
