Late-game quests help

I found a quest list on a german forum which says that there is a "Find a Bridegroom" quest in Murolosh open after the Gruldur Deeps one is done. Anyone managed to find/do this one?
Also, are there any rules/tips on collecting 20 crystal shards Behind the Fire Falls? I thought smashing the crystal spire thingie before engaging/killing any of the ghosts would do the trick but... it appeares that is not so.
On a similar note, my first time through the game, I had those ten extinguished fire hearts with me, yet none of the merchants was willing to offer any serious ducat for them. Is there a merchant esepcially interested in them, like with the shards, or not?
On another similar note, during my talk with the guardian, I had the option of offering him the second cyclopean skull, which I did. Would the dwarf priest take the second one had I brought it back to Murolosh instead?
Finally, those Grolm switches behind the Fire Falls - any rule of the thumb for activating them properly? Last time, I went through it by trial and error, but I'm wondering if there is maybe a neater way to activate them - one that doesn't involve me getting poison-zapped every second time or so.
