Does anybody know of a game similar to Baldur's Gate II that has same concepts (Classes + Quests + Storylines + D&D system) except is newer (to work on windows vista) and is more 3d a little bit and maybe multiplayer (like see other players, though not really necessary)? I played once Runescape, great quests but too much skill grinding though i beat most of the quests. Then I tried lord of the rings online, great game but too few players. Then I tried World of Warcraft, and they weren't kidding. 99% of quests i actually did were just killing and not very interesting like in other games. So can anyone help me find the new game of my gaming future? Thanks for spending your time to help someone who misses aspects of many different games.

Have you tried the Neverwinter Nights series ... they are probably the closest you will get, although they are a lot different to the BG series in quality (in my opinion - though I still really enjoyed playing them).

Even far older games than BG2 can work with Vista. If you don't mind roleplaying depth try Planescape Torment.

If you liked Baldur's Gate, there is also a chance that you might be interested in the Icewind Dale series, which was released shortly after.
As mr_sir said, I think you should look at Neverwinter Nights also. On top of the games and expansions, there are free modules that offer diverse possibilties from single-player to multiplayer.
Most Baldur's Gate fans say that they don't do games like this anymore, so your chances of getting a similar experience with recent games are thin. I believe Drakensang could fit in that category, but I have not played it. It's not D&D, but it follows a somewhat similar Pen and Paper ruleset.
You can find a review of all these games here on GameBanshee.

I agree with Gilliatt... the Icewind Dale series might work for you. Also, both I and II have community-made mods that provide you with an interactive party similar to BG2. Links to the mods are stickied in the IWD forums.
And has been mentioned, Planescape Torment is a fine game, probably the best ever made. I highly recommend it.
If your computer is up to it, you might also consider The Witcher. It isn't a party-based game, nor does it have D&D classes, but it has a compelling story, interesting quests and moral ambiguity.
