Generic "I'm back" thread

Hey all.
After quite some time of skipping the SYM forums I've found that I'm getting bored. Seeing as I have 3 weeks until my GCSEs I need something to distract me from my revision and so I thought I'd make a return.
I also thought that seeing as I've been quite some time I'd update you all on what's been happening in my life while I've been away.
So here goes:
I've grown about an inch or two taller.
I think that's pretty much it.
Talk to you all soon.

Thanks Des.
As to what is up: In the physical sense; the ceiling. In a more spiritual sense; not much.
Anything interesting been happening while I've been gone?

**From out of nowhere a big, black Mack truck appears in the middle of the thread.**
**Profuse swearing can be heard from inside, Punctuated by the sound of someone drinking deeply from a bottle**
**The door swings open, and an angry face appears amidst a lingering aroma of apricots.**
I hereby take over this thread for some sinister purpose. I still have to decide which exactly that will be, though ...
In the meantime, I'll just hang around in here, and wait for someone to entertain me. I'm bored.
**opens another bottle of JD and settles down to wait**

How about searching....here?
Hello, Xandax.

Just passing by.
Oh, dear... I've been too far away from GB nowadays, and I am having trouble typing your name!

Ow - people crawling from the woodworks now
(and most can't type my so complex name, many forget the x here and x there and sp extra there and .....

)

Crawling out? Well, suppose. I'm actually on the middle of a recon mission.
This is my day off, and I thought of uninstall and re-install BG2. Because I had problem with BG2 last time around (I'm sure it is something to do with conflicting mods I got), I came good old GB, popped in the SYM, and saw your post.

Minerva! So good to see you!

(Sorry guys, nice to see you too, but...)
I was in Japan working last fall and I plan to go again next year! My experience can be summed up in two words: things work. Japan is a wonderful society. Especially in contrast to neolithic Los Angeles where I live now.

Hi Minerva, CE, Xandax & ancient one ! **waves to all present**
Hi everyone I don't know ! **lifts his glass in salute**
I wonder who will drop in next...
In the meantime I'll fire up the hottub, get a beer and just generally hang around some more ...
No worries, still the same,

so I'm on this thing called the Internet
and a truck of drunks goes whizzing bye. Compelled to follow, I come to find it's a truck I used to drive; or at least had a real good time riding in the back. You see, the memories can be a bit cloudy when your head is addled with virtual spirits. Doesn't seem like much but when enough 1's and 0's go by, it's tough to tell on from off.
I must say, with no offense intended towards the rooks, it is refreshing to see a host of old names present at the top of the SYM list. Makes me wonder how I got lost in the first place.
Ooooh look, a stocked fridge and hot tub. How easy people fall back into what they do best!

Yes, I'm also glad to be well and happy...
I hope the same is true for you.

It's good to see some things on the internet just don't change.
Coming back to GB/SYM is always like coming home after a prolongued vacation...
