I've reloaded a couple times, but everytime I get to a particular point on the Old Graveyard Path, Fable freezes. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know any fixes?

I haven't had any problems with the game or its speed before -- ie, no crashes or lag. I also haven't been using any cheats or exploits. I'm using GameTap, so it might be a problem on their end and not the game's end, but I thought I should check here first.

This sounds like you might have a bad file somewhere. If it's convenient to do, I'd suggest re-installing the game.

I can do that, though I suppose not entirely conveniently. Do you think I should delete my saves, or is the problem more likely in a game file than in the save?

My guess is the problem is with a game file rather than a save.
