Dustmen in the bar hate me so bad. (Minor spoiler?)

Post by Milk »

I was in the bar at just outside mausoleum and there's a Dustman in there called Waiting to die or something like that, and he asked me to kill him so I did, then the whole bar turn aggressive to me. I also have quests with people in the bar but now they just try to kill me, and my save before I killed the guy is ages and ages in the past.

My question is, can I get the bar folk to stop hating on me, or is that it now, do I just have to forget about the quests I have with them?

Just forget about the quests there. They're neither needed nor very rewarding.

If I let them kill me do they stop being aggressive?

Try it. My educated guess is that they'll stay hostile.

And your guess would be correct.

I was only trying to do a nice thing for the guy who wanted to find true death but was too cowardly to top himself.

Can someone confirm wether the Dusties always turn hostile, or is it possible to kill him in dialogue? does that make a difference?

If you kill him through the dialogue, dusties will always turn hostile. I think the meaning of that dialogue was to teach him a lesson, so just start killing him but don't finish it.

I did kill him in dialogue, and yeah, there was a brief moment half way through when I repositioned my hands on his neck and he thought I was going to stop, and there was a flicker of relief in his eyes... but I was invested by that point. Frankly I think it was rude of him to beg so much in the first place, and then try to pull out like that. :mischief:
