I assume that when I load the platinum ver. everything will load as one . Do you play the whole original game than do the add ons or are they intermingled together as one larger game ? I played the original NVN years ago.

The original campaign is one of the most boring campaigns ever released in a video game.
The two expansion have a seperate story, with Hordes of the Underdark building further on the story of Shadows of Undrentide. These two make a pretty enjoyable campaign.
However, all the character options from both campaign are also available in the original campaign.

But must you do the first than go on to the others ? Or are they now one larger game ?

Do you have manuals that came with the product? Because--no offense meant--but this is the kind of question that can be answered by reading readme files, or just searching on the Web under the titles of the expansions. You should also find information on any changes in the expansions from the initial game in the materials that you purchased.

I've reread my first post and I can only advice you to do the same. I don't see how I can put it any clearer.
NWN = Boring story. Skip it.
Shadows of Undrentide (expansion 1) = Start of new story.
Hordes of the Underdark (expansion 2) = Continuation of Shadows.
All the content (classes, spells, feats, etc) can be used in every single game, as long as you have all of them installed.
