RDD epic level build help

I have an RDD build that works pretty well as a melee character, but I was wondering if there was a reasonable way to make him a practical spellcaster.
I don't know his stats offhand, but his levels progression is:
9 Fighter
1 Sorc
10 RDD
As I'm starting MotB, and have 10 more levels for him to take, I would like to see a possibility of having good spellcasting powers as well as being able to kill anything with a sword.
Or should I just keep him on the beaten path and continue as a fighter or Frenzied Berzerker?

I'd really recommend sticking to a melee class.
If you could get rid of the fighter levels and add some more sorcerer it's fine, but 11 potential levels really isn't worth it.

FB for sure with a 2-handed weapon (Scythe) and Improved Power Attack on.
Most spell casters are not to hot in MOTB, and there are plenty of companions to choose from that do have spell casting ability.
If you want you can always start MOTB with new character - for "spell casting" and MOTB a Warlock *rocks*.

In NWN2 RDD does not get spell progression which makes it quite horrible as a spellcaster. You might add some more sorceror levels for displacement and mirror image but you could easily use wands to duplicate that or scrolls.

the "official" motivation behind this class is supposed to be
making a sorc able to occasionally punch during motb.
that's supposed to be so because leveling a plain sorc up to 30 does not really bring any noticeable practical goodies for the campaign itself - especially since it is your main chara and will find himself alone sometimes and so on.
let's say a bard=30 might have a pretty much similar fate. (yet, it could be discussed ofc

)
but then again, it makes a meleer incredibly overpowered in a way that it could never be otherwise, that's why a "fake" sor/brd level (for being able to get rdd levels' sake) to a non-caster will bring way better benefits, almost throwing him beyond epic as far as stats are concerned.
but playing it as the above moptivation is also good enough.

Well, all my weapon feats are for Bastard Swords, and I generally use one with a tower shield (although it's quite lame that I didn't get to keep all my items in the transition to motb... *anger*), so using FB with a 2-handed wouldn't work as well... but would it still be worth it with a Bastard Sword?

..as long as your net attack numbers are very high then it should be OK. It's particularly useful when hasted regardless (OR Frenzied), because the additional attack that Haste OR Frenzy provides is at your top attack number.
The problem I have with the trade is -6 attack for +10 damage, NOT that great a deal (though in some circumstances not bad). At 10th level FB it goes to -6 attack for +12 damage.
-6 attack for +20 damage without access to a second weapon or shield is to me a better trade.
BTW, the addition of Supreme Power Attack works exceptionally well with all high damage melee classes.
