need help!
im on lvl2 in Temple and now i just get stuck in combat and cant do anything. cant press Space to activate another character or monster in queue, cant press Esc for load/quit options. outside of combat all is ok, can move about freely. i have Co6 mode pack installed.

My first suggestion is to make super sure you have the mod installed correctly. If you're running with front end, you have to start the front end program and make sure you run the co8 module, otherwise you're running the un-modded game. Whatever instructions you followed may have presumed you're running front end.
I say this because it was a known problem for a couple of reasons (IIRC) in the unmodded game. I believe at least one of these was fixed in patch 2, and another in the temple.dll fix. Co8 assumes you install patch 2 first, and then includes the temple.dll fix in their mod, but it has to be installed correctly. I am unaware of this happening when these things are installed correctly, so you'd be the first to report it.
If you're confident you've got it all modded right, can you give us some more details? Exactly when does it lock up like this? Do you get any combat done, or does it freeze the instant combat starts? If you can progress through some combat, what are you doing when it freezes? Etc.

have it all modded correctly and im starting game as always. it goes well up till lvl8 characters, all the way to Elemental Temple 2nd floor. i done most of the level, just Trolls on east side and Fire Temple to clear out. the 1st time it got stuck was after i spoke with Elven prisoners in north section of the level and attacking those Bugbears further north. it can stuck on the start of combat or after several rounds. then i can only press Alt+F4 to quit the game.
