I had uninstalled and then re-installed bot SoA and ToB then added the patch.

However, when I tried to get to the point of clicking on "Load Game" this one comes up again every time I made the attempt to start my game:

An assertion failed in InfScreenLoad.ccp at line number 1517

After which the screen exits.

How do I go about this? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried starting a new game, saving that, and loading it? Should this work, it might be the case that your savegame is corrupt.

Solved it!

@Gawain: I could not get to a new game in the first place, but thanks anyway.

I found out that the problem lies in my bitmap images which I downloaded and used.

I ended up deleting the games that used these images.
