keeps crashing

Hey guys, i hope you can help me.
Im playing Icewind Dale at the moment, and i had no rpoblems unto now....
I just entered halls of heroes and my problems begin..
The game keeps crashing.. I can barly make it to my first encounter with some skeletons and the game crashes to windows (xp)
I didn't had this problem before.
I noticed that the game has a very low frame rate when im in there..
Im running this game on a fairly new machine and have Hearth of winter installed with the ltest patch. Can sopmeone help me?
