I have played 1.3 2x,s.
I just started 1.4.
In the past I would go into a new chptr and get the trophies out of the way because I am partial to the sword u get for all ten.
I am in chapter 1 in witcher 1.4 1st chptr trying to get nadir down by the mill .He is the first trophy in game .
I have spent 2 entirer nights runnig aroun d at where he usualy appears after dark all night long until sun rise.
In 1.3 I never had to wait more than a half hr. or so and the trophies would come out full force with there enterage .
Have they changed something in 1.4?
do u have to complete other Quest first before they show up or has anyone else experienced this .It is not exactaly an exciting game when I am sitting here dosesing off

You might need to escort Vesna to her grandmother's house first. It's not a bad idea to build up your character a little anyway before facing the trophy monsters.

1.4 is kind of srange .
I had to pork the littke lady before I could even get a trophy monster to show up
I think they might be on to somethin
