Half-life (1998-20**) & Another World (1991)

Alright ladies. You probably have heard of the first game so I'm not going to get into that aside from mentioning that a little knowledge from the episodic content for Half-life 2 might be needed. Another World is this here game: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_World It's the game that took us by surprise, two years after the first Prince of Persia game. Better motioncaptures, incredible cutscenes, more horrific ways to die, a storyline that wasn't copied directly from Super Mario, etcetera. I can only really get my point across to those who played the game, so explaining what it was about is probably pointless.
There's a lot of common ground between these games, most of which probably goes to a lot sci-fi themed games. Science experiments backfiring. Evil regimes. If we have to go more into detail, both games have a few physics puzzles (Another World taking the cake by having one that involved water), having a valued companion that both needs your help and helps you at critical moments, neat guns (that do something gameplay-wise that developers hadn't considered before), etc. I am sure many more links can be made between the games if a forum puts some effort into recollecting things about these games. It is not really my point.
This, however, is:

We're looking at some box art here for Another World. Let's just.. all look at it for a few moments, shall we? Hmm, what do we see. I see a citadel here. I see lightning shooting out of top. I can see a sort of a vortex thing above the tower and dark clouds circling around it. And if I squint my eyes just a little bit, I can even see dozens of pine trees in the surrounding area. The first Halflife: Episode 2 vista you get to see? Not quite of course, but something uncanny is at work here.
