Which Secondary Classes to Pick?

Post by bushwhacker2k »

I an an Urgoth warrior and I'm becoming a marauder and a deathlord, but I'm not sure what to take for my other 2 classes.

I might take rogue/trickster, for the thieving and nether magic bonuses and the magic weapon skill.

Ideas?

Deathlord is the toughest class to become, because of the heavy equipment requirements. So usually people pick secondary classes to help out with learning bonuses. Adept->Paladin works for this.

Mage/Battlemage is another good choice. Rogue classes don't give "enough" learning bonus for weapons and armor.

What are 'Basic Weapon Skills'?

Paladin has Basic Weapon Skills, Parry and Rune Magic, Battlemage has Magic Weaponry, Repair and Arcane Magic... tough choice, I don't know which one I should go for.

BTW, if I go Paladin, will I gain the armor learning bonus from fighter, marauder, adept AND paladin?

Ah, sorry about double-post, didn't occur to me until I posted >_<

Yes. Learning bonuses "stack", so every class that you gain which gives a bonus, will add to the learning bonus that you already have.

"Basic weapons" are light, medium, and heavy weapons. I think polearms are included, as well, but I'm not sure (I don't see any classes that offer learning bonuses for polearms, so they probably are). I only use polearms when absolutely necessary (one time through the entire game), so I never paid attention. Thrown weapons and archery are not - neither are light/medium dual weapons abilities.
