Help with Sarileth Mod

I'm stuck in the Sarileth mod - hope someone can help me.

Sarileth has been abducted by Glaurkist. I have destroyed him with the Scepter of Tyr but then I have to fight The Devil.

No matter what I do, I can't hurt him - anyone know how to do?

I have Edorem with me and it seems like he can't die. he is fighting The Devil who hits him all the time but he doesn't die. So he can be used as a decoy. I have tried to hit The Devil with everything I've got but so far I haven't even hit him for 1 point of damage.

I am still pretty low level (9) and I haven't got more than some +2 equipment.

When all else fails use the CLUA consle (see sticky threads in this forum), use Ctrl + Y to kill him. Sucks I know, but this element of the Saerileth mod is it's major flaw, idiotic, and virtually un-winable encounter at too low a level. I think if you can run around avoiding being hit Edorem will eventually kill it, but even that's not really satisfactory. I don't know if there's an update that addresses this blunder, but I think not. If Edorem can't kill it, just use the console and consider it fixing a bug rather than outright cheating, you don't get any experience points for it after all.

OK thanks for the answer. I have just tried to reload and buy some bullets +4. They can hit the beast but it always end up with Edorem getting the kill - that is sort of ok.

Funny thing is that before I reloaded and tried the fight again, Edorem wasn't able to hit The Devil at all - maybe a bug.

Anyway - thanks again.....and Sarileth looks like a great mod so far :)

I certainly enjoyed the mod with the exception of that encounter, I hadn't felt able to play a Paladin through the game until I got the Saerileth mod.

Do you have to be a Paladin to romance Saerileth? She's the young female paladin mod correct? I don't think I could run 2 Palaldin's. I am looking for another romancable female mod to try since I am wrapping things up with Amber shortly. Was also considering the de'Arnise romance mod or even the Imoen mod although that one seems like a love it or hate it proposition.

No, the alignment is what's important, you must be good, be Elf, Half-Elf or Human and have a charisma of 16 or higher.

16? wow thats really restrictive unless your playing a charisma based class like bard or paladin.

I think that was the general idea behind it Jordoo. She's a Cavalier, you could be an Undead Hunter, pick up Keldorn and really kick Bhodi's derriƩre, and pretty much everyone else's too. :D

I can see them all fighting over a certain weapon already, LOL! I'm not sure I could manage playing more than one Paladin in the same group so if I use her I'll probably go with a bard.

I wouldn't go with more than one Paladin in a group. One for Carsomyr and another with the Purifier.

If you're determined to be a Paladin, take the Inquisitor kit so you don't feel any incentive to bring Keldorn along.

Yah, I've played through with an inquisitor. I'm not sure I'd even like having a PC paladin and Sarileth in the same party, two paladins is one too many for my groups, LOL.

A Druid or a Bard would also be a good option for romancing Saerilith. Or you could just play a fighter or thief type and hope that you can get a strong enough stat roll to allow you to place 6 points in Charisma.
