Does being infected on Werewolf Island actually do anything at all? I don't see any new shapeshifting abilites. I rested my party a dozen times, but nothing happened.

Might seem as a 'late' question. I usually tend to leave the island alone on the account of how ridiculously hard the battle in Balduran's ship is if you don't wish to wield a perfect party (I stuck with Khalid, Jaheira, Dynaheir, Minsc and Imoen instead). But I finished it now and I wondered if there's any fun to be had with this infection thing. Do I need to wait longer?

Just finished the candlekeep dungeons. If something could have happened, it would have done so by now. So never mind.

If you kill the Werewolf leader in Ulgoth's Beard the infection ends. If not you turn into werewolves after some days and the game is over.

Ooh.. I better get back then. Didn't figure this worked like that poison quest.
