Lost my slayer change ability

ive been playing bg 2 through again and have just noticed i seem to have lost my slayer ability, resting does not bring it back, anyone else had this problem and/or knows how to fix it? any help at all wud be appreciated

yeh i was in in bodhis lair for the second time when i noticed but it doesnt matter anymore, i progressed through into tob and have got it back, tad annoyed that the games gonna end soon tho, love this game
