I play Oblivion on the Playstaion 3 and am currently level 102. In the whole time I have been playing I have never completed the thieves guild quest. So i deceided to start on them yesterday. I waited for hours and hours and Amusei(The Argonian also wanting to join) never showed up. I searched for him in all of the cities and finally found him in Leyawiin. In prison. I picked the lock to find him crouching behind the door and refusing to move. I tried beating him until he was unconcious and dragging him out of the dungeon but he still went back behind the door. Please help, If I complete the thieves guild then I will have completed Oblivion... Completely!

Amusei being in the Leyawiin prison is something that is triggered in a later thieves guild quest. I suspect that somehow you've triggered the start of that quest by accident, maybe by interacting with one of the actors in that quest. If that's the case, then as you are playing on the PS3 there is no way that I can think of to unravel the bug. On the PC a solution would be available through the console, but that's not available on the PS3, or XBox versions of the game.
