Act II Vivaldi Mysterious Tower Quest HELP!!!!!!!! (possible spoilers)

ok here is my problem i got to the part where Vivaldi gets thrown into jail and then i go bail him out i asked him about his reply for the Elf Guy not to sure if i asked him about the book right away because he asked me to go to his house and see him so i did and got the book and stuff but i did something afterword's that made me reload to and earlier save and now when i go to see Vivaldi i cant ask him out this stupid book......
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, is your game fully patched?
Secondly, have you checked your inventory and journal just in case you already have the book?
Lastly, have you tried reloading again?
Also, when using these forums, please remember to write (spoiler) in title when discussing quests so you do not ruin the game for new players browsing the forums. I've added it this time. Thanks.

hmm no i don't think i have patched it if i do can i use my previous saves? :laugh:LOL!:laugh: yeah it is in my inventory how did i miss that one....
Thanks man i sure i looked but not hard enough apparently
P.S. about the spoilers bit sorry didn't know will keep it in mind thanks again...

Yes. The saves will work fine even after you use the latest patch.

ok so i located the patches 1.1 to 1.5 but at 1.4 i get an error message: The Language pack corresponding to the language version of the game already on your system was not found. Download the relevant language pack.
help plz what do i do i registered the game and stuff btu then this i have almost fully patched

yeah i been here but when i click the links they take me to a blank page and nothing loads up...
but its cool i found somewhere else to get the language pack from....
