Stuck on Goblin (bridge-Moving Metal Plate)

Hello all,
I am almost through the goblin caves/mines. Cool Machinery. Anyway I am at the part where you have to stand on a Metal Plate and take it across. On the other side there are about 7 tanks and 7 helicopters, there are little goblins with lighting guns, and spiders. I die everytime I get to the otherside. I have tried to lead them onto my platform then take them back across with me, but to no avail.

I have 3 Melee fighters @ lvl 25 and 3 mages at lvl 18 nature, 25 Nature, And 28 Combat. Also a lvl 28 Bowman.
