I've soloed BG 4 times, and done a duo in IWD while waiting for IWD 2 or NWN to come out, and I really need a new game. I pretty much have stuck to BG/IWD for the past two years, with one small sidetrip to play and beat Darkstone. I went back to Darkstone and just could not play it. But if need be I could make another run through BG or IWD. I also couldn't stand the Diablo games. OK, that was my CRPG gaming background, now can someone tell me if it'd be worth it for me to spend the $45 on Dungeon Siege.

Going by your gaming background, it would appear that DS is not the game for you. It's definately lacking in the role playing environment and caters to more action based gaming. Though I would rate the game head & shoulders above D2, it is more similar to that game than the BG series.

Thanks. But does anyone have any ideas on any other good games to fill the void?

I believe Morrowind hits the shelves tomorrow; and from what I have read, that will be a game that is more suited to your gaming background.
