I just installed diablo2 on my computer... should I install the expansion right away or wait till I have finished the game?
Is the Amazon any good? I like using bows so I picked the Amazon.

IMO, the expansion pack makes the game much better, because you can give your NPC's items and resurrect them. Plus the item selection is better. Also the added act is by far, the best one out of the five (if you have LoD).
As far as amazons go, I have no clue. I've only played a barbarian and sorceress.

I wouldn't mind some pointers. I am level 3 now and I have invested in bow skills and spread my stats evenly.

amazons rock. keep the emphasis on bow skills, and if you find a decent one you've got a very dangrous character on your hands.
the amazon's primary stat is dexterity - increases both your accuracy and the power of the bow . very powerful indeed

Try to think about the fackt that he plays the single player campaign, it's a lot easyer to get to lvl 90+ on-line, but in the single player normal mode he will reach +-lvl 40 with LoD installed, around 30 without it

You can but it takes longer. The more people in the game the more exp you get.

Then you have never witnized a max guided arrow from a buriza, with 5 points on pierce.
Every arrow hit's for 6 times,
In the end I could kill mephisto on normal mode with 2 arrows

Heh yea. and its handy for staying out of the monsters way. specially if they have Multi shot eltrical enchanted
those are always a pain
knock back works great with guided aswell

The Amazon is great, almost overpowered I would say. Especially so if you find the Burriza and use it with Clegham's tooth or whatever those gloves are called...
@Robnark: I also use Guided, but I only put a few points there since the reward dimishes very quickly. Like Stilgar says, Guided works wonders together with Pierce, the same arrow will hit the target many times...you can shoot Diablo at Hell difficulty from behind the corner...but it's so cheesy so I don't usually do it that way
I only do it that way when I encounter MSLE:s, like Taco Magus points out. Slow Missiles + Guided and you never need to die another MSLE death

Um...there's the Players X (X being a number) command in LOD v. 1.09 that lets single players play a "multiplayer game"...and solo it; so levels come by pretty quickly.

My version seems to be v.1.07. How and where do I find a patch or something? I like the sound of level 90, afterall, diablo is all about being powerful right?
Sorry, dumb question... found it right here on gamebanshee... new I would, I was just lazy

Hmm could you please tell me in detail how this works? Should I start a multiplayer game or run my normal singleplayer game and press something??

Run your normal single player game, press enter, and type the following:
players 8
That will up the difficulty and experience as if you are playing unpartied in an 8-player game, decrease the number if the monsters get too hard but it shouldn't really be a problem with the large amounts of XP you get
