King Leoric - or lack of same...

NOW, I don't get it: when I played diablo when it was released originally i never had any trouble getting the king leoric quest. Now he just don't show. I checked all kinds of walkthroughs saying that it is ogden, the tavern dude who gives the hero this quest, but he dosen't!!!! I don't get it. Please help!!!

It may be because of the random quest generation in Diablo. Like sometimes you get the Butcher quest, sometimes you don't. I'd judge King Leoric is much the same (as it is in my current game; I didn't get him)

That's exactle what happens.... the bad part of this is that you never know until the very end if you'll get the valor of steel.....

Well since King Leoric is quite early on in the game (I'm right, right?) you could restart it and redo a few levels until you get him. The levels aren't too big in Diablo and you should be able to find him within a matter of a few hours.

Quests are grouped. Here's how they work:

QUEST GROUPS
Curse of King Leoric or Poisoned Water Supply (you get 1)

Butcher, Gharbald the Weak, Ogden's Sign (you get 2)

Magic Rock, Valor, Halls of the Blind (you get 2)

Zhar the Mad, Black Mushroom, Anvil of Fury (you get 2)

Warlord of Blood, Lachdanan (you get 1)

Fixed quests you always get are the Chamber of Bones and Archbishop Lazarus.

if u got the poisen water suply level u don't get the King loric level
