Laggy WoW?

Wow... World of warcraft is literally unplayable ever since the open beta came out. It takes 2 minutes to loot something and it to appear in your inventory, until then you are frozen. The towns are worse it gets twice as laggy when you walk into one. I feel sorry for anyone who decides not to buy the game from theis experiance.

Yea, lag is horrible right now. The looting lag is only when you have to put something into an empty slot in your inventory....in other words, you can loot cash and stackable items that you already have a stack started for without the lag. I have confidence that blizzard will get it fixed, hopefully in the very near future, but we'll see. It's a great game without the lag though.

I haven't got almost any lag at all and I'm playing across the atlantic. I'm actually surprised how little lag there is when playing. It's only my computer that sometimes is choppy b/c of lowend components.

Yea, from what I understand it wasn't internet lag, it was a flaw in the item programming and was only present in certain servers. They reset these servers a few hours ago and it's gotten much better, although there is still some lag.

Ys from what my sources tell me that the reset did fix some of the problems, but i think the looting thing is delayed only by like 6 seconds.

No, the lag is still there, was just playing a few minutes ago. It seems to come up during peak hours, which is not a big surprise, but yeah I trust Blizzard will find a solution. It's one of the few gaming companies that I still have trust in.

Supposibly it's said in the beta forums from one of the Managers, Caydiem, that the lag is intentional so that they can test how much stress the servers can take.

Wow. That's kinda crappy for the open beta players but like I guess if it makes it better for the retail buyers, ya know. I heard that part of the problem is that they are running somekind of debugging thing while it's on so that not all of the bandwidth goes to the players. Whatever the reason, they are probably losing some potential players, but I guess it's not a huge percentage of the people that will buy it. I just hope it gets better so I can have fun playing :D .

Ok, so now I've experianced the lag everyone keep refering to and it is really bad. Right now my game has yet to comeout of a lag that has lasted almost 10 minutes :o . This seems to be a major serverside issue as the whole server is to bee rebooted in 15 sec (: D). I just hope that they will be able to fix these issues for the release.

Well, I tried to sign in but I got a message that the server was full and I was qued in position 900 or something and a 30 minute wait, so that's where I am right now...

Yes I think I finally know what contributed to so much lag on my server and how Gar's maybe wasn't. My server has a high population. So I guess when the Open Beta was released, many people thought 5 was a lucky server. Anyways I just got on the que list myself. I was a 300 something number... err am. I may have a level 15 character already, but I'd be more then willing to move onto a different server if it weren't for the fact I've already got some people I play with on this server. Wish I could say the same for some other people...
