Ya just gotta love MINSC. He's big, he's NUTS! He has a hampster. There aint much cooler than a large crazy blue head painted guy with a hampster if you ask me.
When he freaks he is too funny, I think there should have been a "save the hampster" quest just for Minsc.

I really(and really) enjoy wathing the dream sequance over and over which starts with Irenicus saying "Life is Strength"
I admire Irenicus and he is the best "bad guy" i've ever seen in a game methinks.
Actually , i like Jaheira aswell . Her cleverness in some dialogs against Baron Ployer and Galvarey .
One thing annoying about her is when she yells "weapon has no effect"
It's a pity that there are few weapons that she can wield and do some "effect!".

I would say Irenicus also. Think about it, i would love to have my PC have his voice. Hes all calm with a sence of Bad Ass. How he knows he can kick almost anyones Arse.

Hm...tough question
but I have to go for Yoshimo, even though he is a backstabber. I love thiefs and backstabbing and he doesn't talk the you know what out of my ear.
As for best voice, THE GOLEM WINS!
Yes, the golem at the start, I like his voice even better then Irenicus'.

BG 1: Quayle. Man, Have you ever seen a cooler NPC? So extremely "intelligent", yet afraid of the dark... "I while away the hours, conferring with the flowers, consulting with the rain".
BG 2: Jan. What stories that gnome comes up with! Calls Quyale "Queesy"! Looks so extremely cool when equipped with a mage robe and a katana, you just have to love him. Fears nothing but griffons.
BG2: Korgan. Dwarves are tough, and this one certainly is togher than most. Dares tell Edwin to shut up. Even more remarkable, Edwin does right away! So good that he can be your only fighter, should you choose to.

Minsc and Viconia are my favorite NPCs, the latter for obvious reasons

Korgan by far! Minsc is nice, but only in the beginning of the game. He didn't say **** in the end. How is Edwin?

I'll have to say Irenicus. He's the coolest bad guy I have seen in a computer game for a long time. You didn't find out what the heck he was up to till the very end of the game. Plus they chose an awesome voice actor for him (David Warner I believe?).

For BG I: what about Shar-Teel (if it bleeds, I can kill it...)
For BG II: it's a great battle.....well Edwin has great lines (I sense your stare, DIE! DIE!!!) and cool voice
