Here Blizzard states that the Final eropean beta will start end dec/start jan. If the final does start in January blizzard has not been able to keep their promise to start the final beta test in december (which alot of paying customers have been waiting for). Now on the official forums people are arguing that the final beta does not matter and that people should be patient. I'm just stunned by the lack of understanding for us pore guys that have not been able to get a closed beta kay and just want to start playing as soon as possible be it beta or release.

While I'm one of thoese that didn't make it into closed beta (don't know why ) - I have no problem with the fact that Final Beta is delayed. I'm very used to MMOG development haveing followed many over the years and even seen one of the most promising close down which I've followed for well over a year at that time.

The lack of understandment from the people in Closed Beta is obvious - they are in beta already, so their intention might seem like indeffirence. But when looking realisticly on it you would most likely have many non-beta participants saying the same thing (like me). It is just becasue the WOW-EU boards are restricted to testers that the view is no unvaried and seems like it is only the testers that are indeffirent.

Also - you do have to remember there aren't any paying customers per se (which is also often said on that board). Even though I've bought my FB-key because I've preordered the game somewhere cheaper then where I could get my FB-Key/Beta-Kit, I'm not really a customer because it is the retailer that sold me the beta-kit and not Blizzard.
FB-Key/Beta-kits were only to be sold with preordering the game in wich case you were supposed to get the money refunded when paying for the pre-order.(officially - some retailers have done different, but that can't be put on Blizzard)
You are only a paying customer when you actually start paying Blizzard for their game and services - which we will not do until Retail/Live.
(Which I'd estimate to late January, mid-Feburary given a few varriables )

There is always a solution

If you can't wait for the final beta, you can register yourself for the korean open beta.

@s2337: The link you posted links to questionable content. I don't know if it is illegal or not but I'm sure that GB will not take part in promoting it.

Blizzard starts their latest news-tidbit on the european site with this sentence:

Starting with the European Final Beta Test in early January 2005......

Seems my estimate in my former post in this thread looks accurate so far

Unfortunately I'm beginning to think that you are right. The bright side of it is that it's only a month left now, but the wait has been long and full off dissapointments.... but atleat I get to play some on a friends of mines Closed Beta account, I don't know if I'd survive otherwise

Well - I'm also hopeing to enter the Wish beta second phase which starts tomorrow....
