What skills are you talking about?

Trade skills or character skills?

Both of which are increased as you use them, allowing you to do better things.
For example,
My warlock starts off with skills in dagger, demonlogy, destruction, and affliction,
Whenever I use my dagger, the skill increases a bit. It's rapid progression at early levels, and high intelligence, but slower once you get it to a high skill, or if you have low int.
Demonolgy, destruction and affliction are class skills, which increase by 10 every level.

In addition to these, you can pick up trade skills. ie) tailoring, enchanting, first aid, alchemy, leather working, cooking, fishing, engineering, blacksmithing etc.

You can have two major skills, I have enchanting and tailoring, and several minor skills, like first aid, fishing, cooking.

For some more info on the skills, hit http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/professions/

I hope I answered your question

for some reason, I can't seem to open that link.

Are the skills the ones you pay for from a trainer?
If so, yes, you can get them all providing you have enough money and the right level
