Has there been anybody else that knows about a third one being created. A very trustworthy magazine mentioned it, but they also mentioned that Blizzard had lost a lot of its original creators for the game.

Am I the only one to read/hear about it. I was just wondering if there was anybody else out there that might know something about it.

Heard of it, not sure though. Blizzard is hiring some people for graphics and whatnot (I think), but has not mentioned that this game is -actually- in development.

Just have to wait and see.

(If I'm wrong on this, please correct me)

As always, there are many rumours around and as always, those rumours are totally unreliable. Nobody knows whether there will be a D3 or not, but we can hope :)

I think Diablo III would be amazing.

All the same old characters plus like 5 or six new ones.

Hehehe, how about MALE and FEMALE for pete's sake.

Now THAT would be good. Different skills for a male and female. Make it as complicated as possible. Be better to have as many customizable features as possible anyway.

Heh... a male Amazon? That wouldn't work all that well....

Yeah, male and female would work wonders. But some calsses wouldn't work well. I would like to see a Female Necromancer, barbarian, paladin, Druid, and some others.

um, yea, male amazons wouldnt work to well, since all men were killed by amazons for some strange reason.

and i dont see how they can make a D3 anyways. you kill the three brothers, and shatter the world stone... what else is there to do?

A popular theory is that it could be set before the events in D1 and D2 - possibly chronicling the events during Tal Rasha's time that led up to the initial imprisoning of the three brothers.

Someone should send in a request form to Blizzard about Diablo III being made.

I'm pretty sure something like that would've already happened immediately after Diablo 2 came out, and if anything it'd make the guys at Blizzard less motivated.

"Are we there yet?"
"Are we there yet?"
"What about now?"
"Now?"
"Tommorrow?..."

well, the amazon thing really wouldnt work, theres already a barbarian and an amazon.

wizards and sorcerers, are completely different, one studies to obtain power, the other comes by it naturally.

wood elves are a race of elves, not a perticular class.

why not call them both paladins? they work for temples as one.

and why not call them both assassins, or the guy a shinobi?

that would be interesting to see. always wondered how they got the three brothers into soul stones. but then wouldnt they call it, Diablo the begining, or some weird stuff?

how is this?

Male- Ranger :focus on Bows and Nature Lore(knowing exact hp/resist etc. of enemy)d
Female- Amazon: Focus on Javelins and passive magic a

Male- Sorcerer :Aggressive spells like Fireball,Frozen Orb,Lightning Storm a
Female-Sorceress: Defensive spells like Enchant,Frozen Armor (now targets) or Telekensis d

Male-Fighter: Weapon Expert like barb but more skill points but slower lvl up a
Female-Monk: Gains benefits using fists and gains damage from both dex and str if a skill is taken d

Male-Paladin: Everyones favorite Hammerdin , Zealdin, Fistdin(related to Fist of Heaven but more involved) a
Female-Cleric:healing magic,auras d

Male-Assassin:stealth skills, martial arts d
Female- Thief:traps, shadow skills, magic find (skill branch allows the rarest items to be found i.e.-anni without facing Uber D but as long as you face Diablo)

If anyone wants I'll make a new thread and make the characters with full skill lists, stat breakdown and whatever else is included like quests and such.

about that sorc thing.... a sorc with only defensive spells would by much less powerfull than an who has offensive...

i think

Yeah, and those characters seem to simply be the original ones split. By doing that, you are making the characters a lot less independent. It would be great as a team based game, however it would be extremely challenging playing a defensive only character into a single player game.

I would strongly caution against any character with uniques abilities for boosting magic find. I am not saying it couldn't work (the Barb skill "Find Item" worked just fine the way it was set up), but this just seems like something that would be badly exploited. It would likely take a herculean effort to keep this balanced with other classes.

And from the OP, it appears that many of the original minds for the Diablo series have left Blizzard and gone off to other studios like ArenaNet and Flagship Studios. If you google "Diablo 3" you will probably find all sorts of speculation whirling around, but just remember it is still just speculation.
