Hi everyone
I've managed to play DS II for about six hours or so.Saved my game and returned later for another session.
Loaded up the game, got to the screen for options, selected play.............and then message....Fatal error has occurred and application must be shut down.D3D initialisation failed'

Having done some research on the D3D bit, according to Microsoft, it appears that my graphic card no longer works ! It does for every other game and all the applications that I have, just now not DS II

PS go to this link -edited out- and there's a lot of technical support questions on various aspects of the game

It's nice to offer help with technical problems, but please do not advertise for other forums.

Sorry bout that Dottie, but there isn't an awful lot of help around at the moment and it's soooooooooooooooo frustrating with it being a new game and people are crying out for the patch coz they can't play

Apologies once more :)

Just a little note to tell you how I got round the D3D failure. Pop your disk into drive, open it with explore cd. Go to the direct x box, and run it from there.Restart pc and you should find a working game again.
It might not work first time, tho so just do it again :D
