I bought this game two days ago, and I haven't been able to play it once. I start up the game, and at the dot screen, it locks up and reboots my computer. I have tried numerous things, from Microsoft's website and phone support. I updated all my drivers, reinstalled the game a couple of times, deleted the folder in "My Documents" where people said they fixed the problem.... Nothing. I just don't know what more I could do. I have a BFG Technologies 6600GT OC, and it seems some other people with a 6600GT can run it, but I sure can't.

It's just been hell since I have bought this game. I tried it on another computer, and it worked, but mine doesn't. Please, can anyone help? I'm about to break the CDs in half and shred the box; In a sense, I basically put $50 in a shredder for no reason at all, if I can't get it to play.

You've got the latest graphic drivers? Try older ones too. Nothing overclocked? Try to reinstall windows if you want to play it that bad. If that doesn't work it's something with your hardware that ds2 doesn't like. Maybe the 2.2 patch will help otherwise.

System

What kind of system do you have?

Try to roll back to older drivers, 71.89 or something. I remember reading it somewhere that DS2 doesn't work well with newer nv drivers. Also try to turn off the "automatically restart" option to get the blue screen, see what it says. Does your machine work well with other recent games?
