Savegame problem

I was playing Dungeon Siege 2 Ver. 2.0 and now updated to ver. 2.2.
Now i can't continue my savegame.HELP please

Do you mean the "continue" button doesn't show up on the main page any more, or that pressing the "single player" button doesn't list your characters any more? Hopefully it's just the former. You can load your game by selecting a character and selecting a difficulty.

I also have lost all my savegames once I patched to 2.2 needles to say I am a little pissed off!!!!!

The "continue" button isn't the only way to load a game. Did either of you try going through the "single player" menu and loading your game that way?

When I press singleplayer button, it only let me create a new character and then I must play from the begining.

Here I am just getting ready to install the upgrade and your scaring me.
I best make a back-up copy of my save game!

Well, I didn't have any problems with patch, but I was upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2, if that makes a difference. Also, the patch shouldn't delete your old saved games. My guess is that for some reason the game just isn't recognizing them any more. So if your saved games disappeared with the patch, you might try re-installing the game and see if they come back. I never had any of the problems corrected by the patch, so it might be that the patch isn't absolutely necessary for you anyway.

All my saves are still their the game just dosent seem to want to load them for some strange reson.

i upgraded my game from 2.0 to 2.2 and I haven't had any issues playing games that i started in 2.0.
my suggestion would be to re-install the game, see if you can load your saved games, than upgrade to version 2.1 and verify whether you can load your saved games. Than again, upgrade to 2.2 and see if your saved games work.

Is the thread still active?
I'am running 2.1 and got a similar problem, because my continue button disapperd and on choosing single player I just can start a new game by creating a new hero. I tried already the tips from this thread and them which nhoj68 has given in the other thread.
I also tried to rebuilt my saves with the .bak's but it did'nt work at all.

If you have tried the advice from the other thread about updating your game, make sure you connect to "internet or gamespy", but try this in addition to you updating, zip your save games, then update your game after that, unzip you games back into your save folder, I hope it works for you.

updating the game using MP over internet had'nt fixed it but I'll try to zip it.
Maybe it works.

Tried it now and it's still does'nt work.
Thanks for your help but I'll give it up and start a new game maybe it stay's
usable.

Same thing just happened to me, lost my saved game after updating to ver 2.2
Seems like this bug is pretty common. Oh well.

Not neccesserily, try this:

It should make it possible for you to see all your saved games.
The mod is DS2_AllSaves_v1.msi

Solution to your problem
Hi all, it seems that if you patch to v2.2 dungeon siege now has the following problem:
If you've saved your game and exited DS2, you then go and add or remove a Mod, DS2 will not see your saved game unless you either add the Mod you deleted or remove the mod you added.
