I just saw this thread. And I was wondering, is this mearly a speculation thread simlar to the Kotor 3 thread or has this been confirmed.

As to how the story would unfold? I've always thought it would be good to go back in time to the original hunting down of the three brothers when they were all bound with the soulstones.
I honestly can't think of how a future story would unfold, with the three brothers having been slain.

Oh, I posted this before he made that thread. But I hope it gets announced. I hope it doesnt turn out like the Aoe series. The first 2 were great but the third one wasen't so good. And the first 2 Diablos were great.

Just remeber that the worldstone got destroyed and the barriers between the worlds had gotten weaker... I think we'll be playing as the child of the hero(the one that you played as in D2... Just remember what Tyriel said... Something about you've done your part... now "a new generation" must take over). With the barriers getting weaker, I think there's some chance that hell spawns will find some way into your realm...
How the brothers will be doing in D3 I don't know, but im sure that there's some loophole somewhere that allows them to get back!

Maybe they'll just start a new story line similar to what Obsidian did with KOTOR 2. But feature the same style of simplified D&D game.
