went into the save games but unable to find one that goes back far enough to help me out.
I'm did actII chap7 then left. did some small secondary quest and save during when finished these quest. Shut down for the night. Next morning I seen was a patch for dungeon seige 2 downloaded now I can't get passed the door at the top of the stairs to start chap.8 CAN ANYONE HELP?:

Okey, let me see I understand what happened:

You played the game, exited, but computer was online and the 2.2 patch got installed and now you can't progress in the main quest? Is that it?

You can always try this mod, this should allow you to see all possible saved games, and this usually does the trick when you install the patch in the middle of playing.

If this below doesn't work can you give a little bit more info.

It should make it possible for you to see all your saved games.

The mod is DS2_AllSaves_v1.msi

Thanks for the help. I believe I did to many secondary quests afterwards.
So I enjoy the game so much I uninstalled every and re-installed. I have found things I didn't the first time and enjoying it a lot more Thanks for the help.
