Quest arrow missing

Hi, possibly a newbie question here, but I could use some help. I had been playing Dungeon Siege II for a while, and I was about halfway through. I went on vacation, came home, started up the game, and for some reason I can not get the little yellow quest arrow to show up any more in the little round mini map at the bottom right of the screen. I have no idea where I'm supposed to be going now, I've been wondering around for hours, if I can't figure this out I might have to start all over. I'm up to the quest where I'm supposed to find Evangeline, and I'm starting off in the Elf town. Is this a common problem, or did I do something really stupid, and possibly real easy to fix? Please help!

I don't know why the arrow would have disappeared, but you don't really need one given how linear the game is. Just go out the southern gate of Aman'lu and follow the road.

A Small Map

Below and to the left of the small map is a size button. Click on it to make the map larger if possible. Now you'll have a yellow arrow. It was off the map.
