it must be a side quest i over looked , i finished the normal level , and wasn't doing so well in Epic , so i went back to normal and teleported to a location , sorry i don't remember , i needed exp points , ended up in a cave and found , what i thought was Legendary ... ends up being "Staff Of Xanthippus" i have no clue where the quest came from , anyone can help i would appreciate it ...

Its for the High Priest in Memphis, he stands to the left of the big golden gate

Actually, if it's from the quest I think it is, I found it today...
There's a healer on Crete who needs a staff to heal villagers, he asks you to retreive it for him, then you talk to him afterwards, then you get rid of the staff receiving some potions and experience in return.

ah you may be right, maybe its the staff of khufu for the memphis guy... if its the guy your talking about its just after the town of knossos before the temple. he stands outside the cave where the staff is dropped

ok i'll try that , as i've been to the guy outside the cave , and he just keeps yakkin - lol , found the scroll have to find Imhotep in Sias , and the staff i'll try Memphis , thanks , made it to level 37 Epic found my first Legendary in Helicos Pass on a quest item it came out of one of the chests "Sword Of Damocles" 98-104 damage 15% piercing

If the guy outside the cave keeps yakking and doesn't give you the quest, then maybe you need to go back to town, Heracleum, or whatever, to activate the quest with the original questgiver. You do have the staff for that particular quest.
