Strat Q: What should my 5th char be?

Post by johndoe3344 »

Main - Combat mage (fire/death)
Deru - ranged (bow & xbow)
Tarr - (everything)
Dire wolf

Should I add lothar as a second tank or should i add a light naiad for a healer? I'm not yet in Vet yet, but I want to know where to concentrate Tarr in. If it's better to get a light naiad, I'll specialize in Ice, but if not, then I'll start getting a lot of healing. Thanks :)

I always like running healers, but that is me. When ur out of health pots they are quite handy at least. I don't know if you play mods or not, but I made a mod called Custom Pets . The Hak'u Shamen heals and cast lightning. His power resurrects the party. He is well balanced. I also added in a melee pet called Battle Gorilla.

i am confused by Taar being everything... as by default shes a nature mage, i assume ya mean ya are using every skill tree of nature on her.. i prefer going the ice route as most monsters are weak to it but ya can do healing if ya want, but i do have one warning about healing, later on some of the monsters get really upset if ya cast healing spells, they will target the healer first if they get upset thus could be doom to a party.

when ya get to vet - the vet Lothar is combat mage only.. he dont have melee as in merc, so if ya want a melee Lothar ya should have had Lothar leveled up otherwise ya will have to start from 0 melee in veteran.

You can add both Lothar and the Light Naiad to your party if ya want, they can share time in and out of the inn. the light naiad can spend alot of time there without sacrificing her level cause she will always be at your level.

light naiad is a better healer than taar in my opinion, when she is maxed cause she will heal more than one player at a time with less mana, just make sure to puts lots of mana potions on her and she does wonders.
