DS2: BW End Boss Help

I know the game has only been out a very short time and there is no walktrhough yet, but has anyone gone far enough to have to fight Kandar the mage and beat him??? I have tried 50-11 times and he always wipes out my party in a heart beat

Try to evade his attacks so that he doesn't damage you; attack him whenever you're safe. It takes a bit of time to kill him but you'll have to learn how to do it because later in the game you will have to fight two more rogue mages that use the same spells as Kandar.

Actually it's Kanred, not Kandar.

Steal Magic curse works perfect. On elite difficulty (well, with 30 points in curse upgrade, that makes steal magic -92% magic damage) he was unnable to do anything to me
