slight sound problem

at random times in the game the sound of someone speaking to you or fighting
but will continue where it left after 1-2 seconds I think it could be my computer here are the system specs:
windows xp
AMD 2.5 ghz processor
1 gb RAM
Nvidia geforce 7800 GTX graphics card

yup with same cpu, half mem, lil worst nvidia card and etc, i got same trouble
seems like sound is bugged, so i turned it off and came back with my winamp shuffle jukebox

do you have a soundcard or are you using onboard sound?
because is you use onboard, that might be your problem.
Try if you can somewhere enable/disable EAX, this most of the times solves this kind of problems.

Im having the same problem, using a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer, latest drivers, windows 64bit, AMD 3000+ 64bit, gig of ram, Nvidia 7950gt 512meg video card. My cousin has the same problem on an Intel system, worse video, Standard Audigy sound card. Any suggestions?

I didn't have this problem 3/4 of the way thru normal mode of my first play thru, but all of a sudden I got hit by this sound problem that you speak of. I don't know why it all of a sudden started out of the blue. My specs seem to meet the min requirement. I dunno. I get more ticked at the graphical lag in this game...(Although, sometimes my game lags when the game's sound has this problem). Hmmm?...interesting.

Ok, Ive heard reports of some people having no sound problem at all, and others having it. Im gonna try reinstalling the game again, what files do I need to save in order to make sure that I can put my save games back in?
