Finalia's Contempt quest error

Hi everyone!
I'm new to the forums, and I have a slightly difficult question. While working on the Finalia's contempt quest, I arrived inside the Durvla hatchery and killed pretty much everything in sight. At the very end along the back wall there is that cage that you have to get into by destroying the bomb in front so you can open the chest. I figured that it would be a good idea for Finalia to destroy it because quests often work that way, unfortuntly, nothing happened. And by nothing, I mean the cage door didn't open. I used the lightning bolt spell, which may have had something to do with it, but basically when I click on the door it says that it is marked with some sort of Morden glyph and it can't open. Am I doomed to just leaving the quest and never completing it, or is there a way to fix this?
