Dex is a requirement for certqin caster items. Some gloves require something around 150 dex. But since the masteries themselves (at least spirit and storm) give you an amount of dex, you don't have to waste attribute points. If you get to 150 by lvl 40 - 45 that's good enough.

I got an Oracle, lightning based. Squall, lightning, static charge, lich king and ravages of time. And it works pretty good. Halfway to legendary now, even without -recharge.

As for caster stats, intelligence gives you elemental damage and energy regeneration, and is your main equipment-requirement. So that is the most important one. High level equipement neeeds about 500.

Health comes in second, it's how much punishment you can take before you die.

Str isn't needed for equipement, so get's no points. And energy: most caster would rather have beter regeneration than more energy, so intelligence is better.

health

How much would you put in health? I'm running a summonner so usually Core Dweller blocks the attackers but sometimes they get through and if this happens when my computer slows up, I have problems..

Well, i got an Oracle. Squall takes 35% of their damage and ravages of time takes about 40% and slows 30%. I got 3.5k life, with equipment. That's no one hit kills.
Seeing as you don't have that kind of defence, i'd suggest more life.

I still got 25 stat points left, depending on what gear i find and how tough the monsters get, i'll invest more in intelligence for damage or in health for life. Whichever get's the job done.
But remember, if you do enough damage to kill them before they reach you, you don't need the health.

Suggestion: Find a way to stun them, slow them or downright kill them, but try to not get hit. Otherwise as much life as you can while still retaining killing power. I'd say, for end of legendary, 4k life range. I only get by with 3.5 cause a) Ranged never hits me and b) the ones that do get close are slowed and lesser-damaged, or get stunned by lightning

In your case, once you get enough -recharge for your (assumption here) volcanic orb, you can just stun the ones that do get through...
