I’m having a problem getting my save games to load after formatting/reinstalling my hard drive. I saved in v2.2 and am trying to load the save games in v2.2. These are just one of the lists of directions I used and nothing seems to get my saved games back.

Go to C:/my documents/my games/dungeon siege2/save/singleplayer and delete
*name*.Ds2Radar
And
*name*.Ds2Party
Then rename (2.0) *name*.Ds2Radar.bak or (2.2)*name*.Ds2Radar.ds2bak1 to
*name*.Ds2Radar
AND
Then rename (2.0) *name*.Ds2party.bak or (2.2) *name*.Ds2party.ds2bak1 to
*name*.Ds2Party

My “Khoris.ds2party.bak” and “Khoris.ds2radar.bak” are the only files that will load with the character at the title screen. However, there’s no gear on the character and it starts from the beginning of the game. All the “Khoris.ds2party.ds2bak1” type files, after being renamed, wont load the character at all.
Am I missing something crucial or are these files easily corruptible? Thanks.
