DayNightCycle?

How do you turn it off?
I did what the instructions from one of the TQ patches said to do by adding the line:
DayNightCycle = false,
into the defaults.txt file.
...And it hasn't done a thing. I've been just grudging along with this, but I can't stand it anymore.
Does anyone know anything about turning off the accursed day/night cycle?

In that line, did you include spaces anywhere? In a document like that, spaces are like a single error in a 4 page HTML code. The thing won't work and then you have to find out exactly where the error is.
So yeah, make sure it's copied EXACTLY (as in, capitol letters if need be, spaces or no spaces as indicated, everything) and it should work then, but if not, dunno.

Nothing works. I even deleted the defaults.txt file at one time, and the game still ran. I've tryed all the ways possible that I can think of. I think either it is corrupted or it never worked to begin with.
I'm taking it that everyone here on the forum has no problem with the Night function slowing down their game since I'm not really getting any responses from those who have a Night functioning problem. If you did have a problem and you fixed that problem by entering some kind of source code into the defaults.txt, could you post that exact program line in this thread so that I may try it on my default.txt file. Thanks.

Edit: I started a new character, and the night function never appeared. It was always day. I don't know how this could be. I still have to see if this works for my old characters. I'll check into my old characters to test to see if they have the DayNightCycle function turned off for them. Hopefully it is.
*However, I still can't get the shadows function to turn off though..
