[DSIIBW] Problem with innkeeper

I am unable to retrieve old chars since I converted my party for the BW addon. I had Deru, Taar and Finala in my party when I did, those are working fine. I can send them to the inn and retrieve whenever I like. Yoren, Dessa and Celeb are working fine, too.
All those chars from DSII, who had not been in my party when I converted, seem to be lost. They are displayed in the inn menu, but cannot be retrieved. When I try, the inn menu just closes and nothing happens.
Has this bug been reported before and is there any solution to it?
