Haha... Wow I just made a portal and was going back to sell some things after killing the Telkine in Egypt and while in the loading screen to go back to the town I chose my comp restarted for some odd reason and when I logged back onto TQ my hero was gone completely.... Has this EVER happened to anyone else?

When you say completely gone, what do you mean? As in you go into your character selection screen and the name and level is there, but not the picture? Or that there's not a trace of your character anymore, period, let alone the ability to select him.

If it's the former and it's only a glitch, you can download TQ Defiler and fix this with relative ease. It might set you back a couple of quests, but nothing incredibly serious.

Gone without a trace... Not there at all... I'm pretty pissed to haha because I had some nice items on him already and was just doing really well... meh... and this is the problem the Defiler can fix or the defiler fixes the glitch where he just isnt showing up... Level/picture. And if Defiler does fix MY problem where exactly would I get it at?

Well, the first thing I'd do is not give up on your character. The second thing I'd do is search for solutions online.

As I understand it, it would be fairly difficult to totally mess up your character, as there are tons of files (in the My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest/SaveData/Main/*Character Name*).

Although I don't know precisely how to fix it, what might have happened (and I'm totally guessing here) is the file that tells the game where your character is, or something, got messed up and now the game is being funky. I'd check on the files in that location, and read up on what they do and stuff.

Yeah none of it is working after reading that too... man this sucks haha Oh well thats really weird.. And yeah the char that has disappeared from the game is still a folder inside titan quest but he just isnt appearing in the game at all..

Well, I just did a quick google search and learned a bit more.

I'd back up the character folder to somewhere else in case you mess it up worse, then delete the most recent .que file.

If that doesn't work I'd check out [url="http://vnboards.ign.com/titan_quest_tech_support/b23097/97617577/p1"]this page[/url]. It looked the most promising, although I don't think it supports 1.30. You could always post a question in that thread, though, as it looks like that dude (_spx_) is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Also there are plenty of other people and links that might help within that thread.

Oh thats painful. Now I am afraid I am going to lose my char too.

Thanks for all the help man... Im gonna see what i can do about it because he was amazing haha 2000 DPS at level 41 it was a little too easy... I guess I will see what I can do and if I cant fix it Ill just make a different one and learn more... This forum is amazing too... 'lotta help

Uhh by the way i just got my level 41 back... And all I did was make another character with the same name and he popped back up hahah what the F....
